One Arrow Meats is owned and operated by Cree-Metis Chef, Heat Laliberte. Heat has worked in Vancouver's top kitchen's such as Bluewater Cafe and Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel and travelled the world cooking for Olympic Athletes. In 2016 he was the recipient of the Fairmont Pacific Rim's top prize and was named "Star of the Year". In 2017 Heat's passion for personal growth led him to participate in the Aboriginal Business & Entrepreneurship Skills Training Program at the Vancouver Friendship Centre. The course helps to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of people, communities and organizations. During the course Heat combined his 15 years experience as a Chef, his love for community, and his desire to create a product he would be proud of. The result was One Arrow Meats, a 100% Aboriginal owned and operated company making local, artisanal, hormone free, and naturally smoked bacon.
One Arrow's Hickory Smoked Maple Bacon is a Canadian classic. It is glazed with extra dark maple syrup from Squamish’s own Maples Sugar Shack and smoked with Natural Hickory Smoke.
Ingredients: Pork, Brown Sugar, Salt, Maple syrup, Honey, Sodium Nitrite, Natural Hickory Wood smoke.
